CHILDLINE GORAKHPUR - CITY COORDINATION AS NODAL ORGANIZATION :

DISA is the Nodal Organization for the CHILDLINE, Gorakhpur for City Coordination. The Collaborative Organization is Purvanchal Gramin Seva Samiti (PGSS). As the Nodal Organization, DISA functions under the guidance of CHILDLINE India Foundation, Mumbai with the financial support from the Central Ministry of Women and Child Development, New Delhi under the Scheme known as Mission Vatsalya. The major responsibilities of the Nodal Organization are coordination of the action-interventions for street children who are in distress and crisis for their repatriation and rehabilitation and the City coordination with PGSS, the Collaborative Organization, the District Administration, various Govt. Departments and Support Organizations and facilitation of the Child Helpline through the Toll-free Phone Number 1098.

CHILDLINE intervened in the lives of so many Children for their Rescue, Restoration, Protection from Abuse, Medical Helps, Sponsorships, Shelter, Prevention of Child Labour, Providing Emotional support etc.
